Overview:
The sexual behavior of youth can be very challenging to understand, and it can be very uncomfortable for parents to know how to respond. This training will discuss models to help caregivers understand and normalize the spectrum of sexual behavior from normative to harmful.
Learning Goals and Objectives:
Provide an overview of the various types of sexual behaviors. Give understanding to what sexual behaviors may be normal based upon the physical and developmental age of your child. Describe sexual behaviors that can be harmful to youth and others.
Aquire knowledge about CPS guidelines for reporting sexual abuse, for mandated reporters. Gain practical strategies to respond to sexual behaviors.
