Teens from Difficult Beginnings Still Need You, No Matter What They Say

Ce Esleman, LMFT & Adoptive Mother

Building a strong relationship with your teen requires a shift in parenting skills as they move into adolescence. What worked when they were younger often doesn’t work the same way during the teen years—especially for teens who have experienced difficult beginnings. This training explores what teens need
to stay emotionally grounded, resilient, and connected as they navigate identity development and increasing independence.

Ce Eshelman, LMFT, creator of the Teen Whisperer 6-Week Parent Series, will share practical, trauma-informed insights to help parents reduce conflict, strengthen communication, and build trust while maintaining healthy boundaries. Participants will gain tools to support their teen’s growth and
create more peace, connection, and confidence during the adolescent years.

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN HOW TO:
Respond to challenging behaviors without escalating conflict.
Support healthy identity development while maintaining structure and
limits.
Strengthen communication and emotional connection with their teen.
Create a home environment where teens feel seen, heard, and supported.
